Cultivation Technician Rich Global Dona Ana LLC Mesilla Park, NM Job Details Full-time $13.50 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Horticultural crop recordkeeping Agricultural harvesting High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Greenhouse cultivation Agriculture Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a cannabis c ultivation technician to join our cannabis cultivation team in the Las Cruces/Mesilla Park area. This role is responsible for the daily care and maintenance of cannabis plants in a controlled greenhouse environment, ensuring healthy progression from seed to harvest while maintaining strict compliance with New Mexico state regulations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, physically capable of greenhouse Heavy labor work, and comfortable working in warm, humid conditions.
Responsibilities Plant Lifecycle Care:
Execute daily tasks including watering, nutrient application, transplanting, cloning, defoliation and weaving.
Harvest Operations:
Assist with harvesting, bucking, and initial plant processing. Ensure all material is tagged immediately to satisfy New Mexico's 2026 seed-to-sale tracking requirements.
IPM & Scouting:
Perform daily inspections for pests, mold, and pathogens; apply organic Integrated Pest Management (IPM) treatments as directed.
Facility Upkeep:
Maintain a sterile environment by cleaning grow rooms, irrigation lines, and tools daily.
Documentation:
Accurately record plant data in tracking software to ensure compliance with New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (RLD) standards.
Trellis Application:
Install and adjust horizontal trellis netting (ScroG) across the canopy to provide structural support for heavy flower development.
Canopy Training:
Manually tuck and weave branches through the trellis grid to ensure even light distribution and airflow, preventing "hot spots" in the greenhouse.
Weight Management:
Monitor plant growth to ensure the trellis system is supporting the primary colas, preventing branch breakage. Requirements & Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older (New Mexico state law) Must have Reliable transportation Previous experience in horticulture or commercial cannabis is preferred, but we will train candidates with a strong work ethic. Willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and attention to detail is a must. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (e.g., soil/media bags, trellis materials) Ability to perform repetitive overhead reaching and manual heavy labor Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Comfortable working in high-heat, high-humidity greenhouse conditions (often exceeding 80°F ) Heat tolerance for summer greenhouse conditions in Las Cruces New Mexico climate.
