Greenhouse Staff

Job Overview Join our team as a Greenhouse Staff member to for our first year! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a thriving greenhouse environment, supporting plant growth, and providing customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in horticulture, irrigation, landscaping, and more while contributing to sustainable agricultural practices. Responsibilities Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules for all plants Prepare soil mixes and ready-for-pickup plants and optimize growth conditions within the greenhouse environment Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to prune, transplant, repot, and support plant development Provide service to customers with support from selecting plants and all the way through the checkout process Support outdoor work activities such as lawn care, landscaping projects, and heavy lifting tasks as needed Day-to-day maintenance, cleaning other miscellaneous tasks, as needed Requirements Familiarity with greenhouse operations and experience working with plants in controlled environments Basic mechanical skills related to gardening tools and equipment Ability to work in hot, humid conditions and work outdoors in all weather Comfort with outdoor work including lawn care, landscaping tasks, occasional heavy lifting, and physical activity throughout the day Basic math skills and computer/technology skills to support the checkout process Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive approach to plant care and maintenance Willingness to learn If you're passionate about gardening, outdoor work, and customer service — we want to hear from you!
