Horticultural Sales Administrator/Shipping Coordinator

Glover Perennials is a wholesale grower of perennials, woodies, vines and natives located on the North Fork of Long Island. Our nursery is a leading provider to garden centers, landscape contractors and public gardens in the New York area and beyond. We are known for having an extensive plant list grown with the highest quality standards. As plant suppliers, we embrace the idea that gardens are connected to nature. Our growing practices and customer education reflect this concept. Glover Perennials is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team. This person will provide support to the sales team in the office, and support to our shipping manager, with opportunities to get outside on the farm as well. If you have perennial knowledge and love to talk plants with people, this job is for you! If you don't have perennial knowledge but want to learn more about the plants we grow, this could also be the job for you!

Activities include:

Order processing and invoicing Communications with customers regarding orders and deliveries Coordinating and processing orders for shipping Assisting walk-in customers Assisting with inventory management Making computer generated labels. The ideal candidate has a high level of organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Also important are excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills and the ability to work as a team. Perennial knowledge and Spanish speaking is a plus. Seasonally full-time March-October, and part-time hours November-February. Competitive salary and benefits.
