Job Description:

Local commercial farm is seeking applicants to fill full time position. Duties include animal care and general farm work including feeding, cleaning, pasture/fence maintenance and daily paperwork. Trailering animals as needed. Skills /

Experience:

Applicants must have knowledge of typical farm equipment as well as recent horse handling experience. We are looking for applicants that have good work ethic, good communication skills, are friendly with a positive attitude, and can function well in a team environment. This person must be flexible to accommodate reprioritization of tasks. Farm equipment experience includes operation of skid steers, tractors and basic construction equipment. Experience with basic building and grounds maintenance and light construction projects. Experience using a chainsaw, installation and repair of post and wire fencing, and small engine repair/maintenance a plus.

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED equivalent. NYS Driver's License and reliable transportation Ability to pass a pre-employment / annual medical evaluation.

Hourly Wage:

Hourly wage is based on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package including incentive pay for weekend shifts, holiday pay, and clothing allowance.
