Part-time, Full-time Overview of Position:
The vineyard worker is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to assist in all aspects of vineyard management and all related processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Fertilizing, herbicide and pesticide applications Pruning and canopy management Grounds management Conducts minor repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment. Additional duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in operating hand/power tools and farm machinery such as tractors, sprayers, and zero-turns. Previous experience in vineyard or farm work strongly preferred. Commitment to working in a safety-conscious environment. Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Physical capability to stand, walk, handle tools, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift weights up to 65 pounds. Ability to carry weights of 15-20 pounds repetitively. Enthusiasm for the Ohio wine and grape industry is a plus. Strong dexterity and organizational skills are desirable. Demonstrated ability to work independently with self-motivation.
