Everything we grow, prune and harvest will be on our restaurant menus and our Farm Stand. The Farm Guest Experience Coordinator is a full-time, year-round position overseeing guest experiences at the farm and collaborating with external partners. The position reports to the Farm Manager, and supports Owner initiatives, while supporting growth demands at the farm. THE BRASS TACKS
Hand harvest blueberries. Pick blueberries grown in rows in the fields and place blueberries into trays or buckets. Use buckets attached to the body to pick blueberries from bushes. Pick fruit according to grade, color, and size by gasping berries with fingers and removing berries so as not to harm adjacent berries or buds or bruise the picked berries. Carry buckets, place berries from buckets into flats or trays, and/or pack directly into clamshells. Assist in greenhouse with plants; picking, pruning, harvesting, maintaining produce at its peak. Assist in any other areas where you might be needed for agricultural operations. Removal of plants using hand tools such as shears and knives. Cleaning and preparing greenhouse job site for planting of new crop. Planting or transferring plants. Load/unload products into trucks. Fieldwork begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. The Nitty Gritty Bilingual preferred Use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and balance. Distinguish colors in order to perform color-specific select picking. Must be able to climb a ladder with feet 5' off the ground and reach above head. Physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs. Able to bend, climb, sit, walk, twist, and kneel for prolonged periods. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in temperatures up to 95 degrees.
