Job Description

Dairy Herdsman About the Position We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Dairy Herdsman to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining herd health, animal welfare, and overall dairy operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with dairy cattle, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality milk while maintaining excellent animal care standards. Spanish/English Bi-lingual Highly preferred. Responsibilities Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of the dairy herd. Identify, treat, and report health issues, illnesses, and injuries. Assist with breeding programs, heat detection, and calving. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed. Maintain accurate herd health and production records. Work closely with veterinarians, nutritionists, and management. Assist with milking operations when needed. Monitor feed intake and ensure proper nutrition practices. Ensure compliance with animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety standards. Operate farm equipment and assist with general farm duties as required. Qualifications Previous dairy cattle experience preferred. Spanish/English Bi-lingual Highly preferred. Knowledge of herd health management, breeding, and animal husbandry. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
