Seasonal Farm Worker Description:

Seasonal position supporting greenhouse management, planting, weeding, harvesting, irrigation, cultivation, composting, cover cropping, distribution, and general farm operations in an outdoor agricultural setting.

Schedule:

Full-time temporary position through November.

Key duties include:

Preparing soil, planting seeds, and transplanting seedlings Weeding, watering, and cultivating crops Harvesting produce and preparing it for distribution Assisting members on pickup days and answering questions Supporting farm events and daily operations Cleaning and maintaining farm buildings, equipment, and trucks Keeping the Farm Manager informed of progress and issues Following schedules and safety procedures, and using required protective equipment Key requirements include: High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year farming/grower experience preferred Valid driver's license required Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team Interest in sustainable agriculture and CSA systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Key physical requirements include: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and bending Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to operate farm tools and equipment Interested candidates can email their resume to hr@osfphila.org or stop by Our Lady of Angels Convent at 609 S.
