Job Description

Troyer Growers is currently looking for a new addition to our farm team. We have a vision to bring back the Pennsylvania potato industry with progressive farming practices, technology, and people who are as passionate about the work as we are. We are looking for candidates who are willing to work both independently and within a team and who are hungry to learn and adapt. Nature is unpredictable which requires a flexible and adaptable mindset. Work load fluctuates with the season and weather.
Responsibilities include:
Primary duties will be potato inspection and grading. Assisting in operation of the potato washline and shipping category. Sanitation of potato storage and washline facilities. Operate skid steer or wheel loader scooping potatoes from storage. Maintain and repair washline and loading equipment. Flexing to assist in field operations during planting, growing, and harvesting seasons. Maintaining and repairing farm equipment, trucks, and buildings Operating Irrigation Equipment Relevant skills and experience: Operation of construction or farm equipment Landscaping Farming background Industrial or manufacturing maintenance Mechanical knowledge Electrical/wiring Comfortable with technology •willing to work overtime

Full-time•16•18 per hour depending based upon experience.
