Responsibilities Assist with hive inspections, monitoring bee activity, and checking hive health to prevent disease and pests Support the setup, maintenance, and repair of beekeeping equipment such as hive boxes, frames, and protective gear Help with the safe handling of bees during hive manipulations using appropriate tools and protective clothing Operate farm machinery and heavy equipment like forklifts or power tools to transport supplies or manage hive locations Maintain cleanliness and organization of beekeeping areas, including greenhouse or outdoor apiary spaces Support with animal husbandry tasks related to bees and other farm animals, ensuring proper care and handling Aid in irrigation, watering plants or hives as needed to promote healthy growth and hive conditions Requirements Prior experience supervising or assisting in agricultural or farm settings is preferred Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, or maintenance is highly desirable Animal husbandry experience with bees or other livestock is a plus; familiarity with animal handling techniques is important Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems safely and effectively Knowledge of horticulture, greenhouse management, or growing experience beneficial for supporting hive environments Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Basic math skills for measurements, inventory tracking, or record keeping related to farm operations Embark on a rewarding journey working alongside passionate beekeepers dedicated to sustainable farming practices!
