Farm Worker — Orchard and Grounds Job type Part-time, hourly W-2 position Location North Shore of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi — Waialua area This is an on-site role only. Remote work is not available. No housing or relocation assistance is provided. Pay $18-$24 per hour, depending on experience Schedule Typically 10-20 hours per week, with additional hours available during harvest season. Benefits Flexible schedule Personal protective equipment provided Health insurance for employees regularly scheduled 20 or more hours per week, in accordance with Hawaiʻi's Prepaid Health Care Act About Jericho Estates Jericho Estates is a seven-acre tropical fruit orchard on the North Shore of Oʻahu. The property is located in the Waialua area and includes hundreds of mapped mango, avocado, and other tropical fruit trees. We are building a small, dependable crew to help keep the orchard and grounds clean, productive, and well maintained. About the role We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Farm Worker to support orchard and grounds maintenance. This is hands-on outdoor work that includes pruning, mowing, harvesting, clearing brush, equipment use, and general property upkeep. You will work under the direction of the Orchard Manager. The ideal candidate enjoys physical outdoor work, is safe with tools and equipment, follows instructions well, and takes pride in keeping a property in good condition. Responsibilities Prune trees and clear brush under direction Mow, trim, leaf-blow, pressure-wash, and control weeds and groundcover Keep paths, work areas, and orchard grounds clean and clear Harvest fruit by hand and with picking tools Sort, carry, and stage harvested fruit Haul green waste and assist with general property upkeep Check irrigation lines and report issues Operate and clean hand tools and power equipment safely Use equipment such as mowers, line trimmers, leaf blowers, pressure washers, pole pruners, and basic hand tools Work additional hours during harvest season as needed Requirements Able to perform sustained outdoor manual labor in heat, humidity, rain, and uneven terrain Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Able to use ladders safely Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Comfortable using farm, landscaping, or groundskeeping equipment, or willing to be trained Able to work safely around sharp tools and powered equipment Reliable transportation to the North Shore of Oʻahu Legal authorization to work in the United States Local to Oʻahu Preferred qualifications Prior farm, orchard, landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience Experience with mowers, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, or other small power equipment Valid driver's license Working conditions This is physical outdoor work in a tropical farm environment. You should be comfortable working in sun, heat, humidity, rain, insects, uneven or sloped ground, and around sharp or powered equipment.
