Job Summary The Department of Natural Sciences at UM-Dearborn is seeking applications for one or more Greenhouse Student Assistants. The Greenhouse Student Assistant will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the UM-Dearborn Greenhouse. Specific responsibilities may include cleaning the greenhouse, watering the plants, cataloguing plants, potting and propagating plants, and manual and natural chemical control of greenhouse pests. The Greenhouse Student Assistant will report to the Greenhouse Manager about his/her weekly activities. Required Qualifications• Candidates must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, possess good time management and communication skills, and have an enthusiasm for and love of plants. Desired Qualifications• A background in biology, environmental science, or related scientific field is preferred but not required. Previous horticultural experience will be viewed favorably.
