Staff Accountant - Cannabis Cultivation Vision Cannabis Ewing, NJ Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $85,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Accounts receivable management Expense management Corporate accounting Financial records management Attention to detail Full Job Description Position Summary NJ Nectar is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations. This role will handle full-cycle bookkeeping, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and the preparation of comprehensive financial statements. The ideal candidate will have strong corporate accounting experience, including managing depreciation and amortization, and a solid understanding of (or willingness to learn) cannabis-specific tax regulations like IRC Section 280E. Key Responsibilities •
Full-Cycle Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and general ledger accounts. •
AP/AR Management:
Process vendor invoices, reconcile corporate expenses, manage billing, and oversee timely collections. •
Financial Preparation:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow). •
Asset Management:
Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization schedules for cultivation equipment, facility improvements, and licensing. •
Compliance Support:
Assist with inventory-to-financial reconciliation (matching physical plant counts/Metrc data with financial reporting) and prepare documentation for tax filing.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
