Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive sitting/walking, frequent stooping or bending over.
Details:
Job requires basic worker harvester. During harvest of melons, onions all workers will be involved in physically harvesting produce in the field. Produce consist of mostly melons and onions, but also some pumpkins workers will also pack and grade, sort produce in sheds after picking is done for the day. Workers will also prepare produce for distribution in the form of grading produce, other duties workers may include weeding fields, cleaning and field from weeds and even trash around packing site, or produce fields. Workers need to be clean since we are handling perishable food. Also workers need to be able to work in summer heat and able to lift and toss up melons that may weigh up to 25 pounds.
