IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN NEEDED

We are looking for a self-motivated Irrigation Technician with great problem-solving skills and strong mechanical skills to join the team at our family owned and operated business in Crosby, Texas! The Irrigation Technician troubleshoots and maintains client irrigation systems, assesses water conservation efficiency, and works closely with landscaping crews to meet customer expectations and specifications.

Irrigation Technician- Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Ability to inspect properties and generate reports to ensure proper service. Ability to work alone Irrigation repairs and troubleshooting any irrigation issues that may arise. Weekly and/or monthly property walkthroughs, verifying installation of systems and ensure they are functioning properly. Repair and maintain valves, installation of clocks & timers, tracing of electrical components, locating zones & valves and performing pump repairs. Activate & deactivate irrigation systems according to schedules. Perform property irrigation inspections (wet checks). Maintain daily reports Inspects, audits, adjusts, and repairs irrigation systems already in place. Ensures irrigation systems are performing at maximum efficiency. Conducts preventative maintenance on designated systems. Maintains inventory of irrigation parts and supplies. Installs irrigation timers, piping and valves. Reads diagrams to layout and locate irrigation valves, timers, and wiring. Completes daily paperwork as required by each job. Assesses water efficiency and adjusts to conserve water. Performs system start-ups, evaluation, and winterization. Other duties as assigned.

Irrigation Technician-Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum 2 years irrigation experience required Holds an Irrigation Technician Certification OR has the ability & desire to obtain it shortly after hire Valid Driver's Licenses required

Bilingual Irrigation Technician-Working Hours:

Regular:

6am or 7am start time, end times may vary (typically 10-12 hours.) Monday through Friday Weekend work required as needed to complete projects

Irrigation Technician- Pay:

$50k-$70K depending on experience and qualifications To reach the higher end of the pay scale must be able to manage multiple guys or a crew, order materials, meet deadlines and generate additional revenue for the company by meeting deadlines and being efficient.
