Temporary work from: 9/7/26 - 7/7/27. Workers will perform temporary ranch labor related to annual cattle processing and fence construction/repair. Duties include herding cattle for required processing activities such as castrating, vaccinating, branding (to identify ownership and grade using brands), weighing cattle on scales, catching and loading animals onto trucks or into enclosures, and administering vaccinations. Workers may also be required to repair existing fencing necessary for the work being conducted. Fence work duties include installing and removing barbed wire fencing within the worksite area. Removal duties consist of taking down metal posts, removing damaged barbed wire, and clearing debris or obstructions from the work area. Installation duties include preparing acreage for new fence construction, setting metal posts, and installing barbed wire ranch fencing. Workers will be required to walk extensively and may lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Workers must maintain all equipment provided by the employer at no cost to the worker. The need for these workers is temporary because cattle are only castrated once and branded and vaccinated once annually. Outside of this limited period, the cattle do not require the same level of individual handling and care. These workers are needed only to assist with the once-a-year cattle processing and related fencing duties, which are extensive and vital operations that cannot reasonably be completed without additional labor.
