Basic Job Requirements:
Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing/pulling, sitting/walking, frequent stooping or bending over, repetitive movements.
Details:
Feed cattle, goats, horses. Check water, clean water troughs and break ice in winter. Pulling calves, make herd health evaluations. Provide vaccinations & other medications as needed, maintain and repair fencing, clear fence lines, spray brush, cut cedar posts. Repair and maintain water lines, unload hay bales, fill feed bags. Keep predators out of pasture. Manage bulls, pen cattle, help with cattle work on horseback. Operate a variety of farm equipment as needed for job duties. Clean and maintain barns, storage facilities and equipment. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping. Involves lifting and carrying of 50lbs frequently. The hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of the duties and weather it is the prevailing practice to work substantially more, less or different hours than those listed, sometimes for extended periods of time. When the number of hours for a week exceeds the number listed then, the worker may be offered, but not required, to work more hours. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on the weekend, a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. •
