This energetic role involves supporting daily ranch operations, maintaining equipment, caring for livestock, and ensuring the overall health and productivity of the ranch. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for farm life. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant rural environment, contributing directly to the success of our agricultural operations. Responsibilities Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering, grooming, and health monitoring of livestock such as cattle, horses, and other farm animals Operate heavy machinery and farm equipment safely, including tractors, irrigation systems, and other specialized tools Perform routine maintenance and repair on equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge Manage fencing, corrals, and shelter structures to ensure animal safety and secure enclosures Support planting, harvesting, greenhouse management, and horticulture activities to promote healthy crop growth Handle heavy lifting tasks related to feed storage, equipment setup, or livestock movement Supervise or assist with fellow team members in daily tasks to foster a collaborative work environment Requirements Proven supervising experience or leadership skills in a farm or ranch setting preferred Mechanical knowledge with experience repairing farm machinery and equipment Strong animal husbandry skills with a focus on animal care and handling techniques Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely; certification is a plus Hands-on experience with irrigation systems, farming practices, horticulture or greenhouse management Familiarity with welding, power tools, hand tools, and general maintenance procedures Knowledge of equine care if working with horses; previous growing experience is advantageous Basic math skills for measurements, record keeping, and inventory management Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions Join us in this rewarding role where your skills will directly impact the vitality of our ranch!
