Temporary work 3/29/26 - 12/31/26. Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. This position involves operating farm equipment to support the planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting of alfalfa, cotton, and other agricultural crops. Workers will operate and monitor machinery such as tractors, loaders, harvesters, sprayers, and related farm equipment used in crop production. Duties include preparing fields, assisting with planting and cultivation, irrigating crops, harvesting crops in a timely and efficient manner, and maintaining field infrastructure, including repairing and maintaining fencing. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for the routine care and maintenance of equipment, including cleaning, fueling, lubricating, and identifying minor mechanical issues. Workers must promptly report any mechanical problems or safety concerns to the employer and may perform minor repairs and adjustments as instructed. Additional responsibilities include mixing and applying herbicides and other crop inputs according to employer instructions, scouting fields for insects, weeds, and crop conditions, assisting with irrigation system operation and monitoring, and supporting general farm operations as needed. Workers must maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures while operating equipment and handling agricultural materials. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate equipment for extended periods throughout the agricultural season.
