Required Qualifications:
Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. Skilled in installing and repairing irrigation systems and controllers.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, work orders and assignments.
Ability to perform (at times) manual digs and strenuous work in all types of weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license or have the ability to obtain one in 90 days
Ability to operate heavy equipment
Must have at least intermediate experience with pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, measuring tape, pipe threaders, volt meters and electric valve finders
Basic knowledge of hydraulics and backflows.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of basic safety principles and PPE.
Job Description The Irrigation Technician II is responsible for maintaining and servicing all irrigation systems on campus.
Job Duties Check alarms
Make repairs to systems
PM systems
Audit systems
Install controllers
Repair valves and hydrometers
Troubleshooting
Understanding of manuals and designs
Use of Dingo / trenchers
Installing systems
Knowledge of voltmeter and wire locator
Meter Readings
Use of Email
Use of Go-WorkMgmt (AIM on Phone) and AIM on desktop
Use of SAP
Use of Workorders
