This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems for commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with various sprinkler brands and systems, ensuring efficient water distribution and system functionality. Additionally, there is an opportunity for snow removal work during the winter months for those interested. Responsibilities may include plowing, shoveling, de-icing, and maintaining safe conditions on properties as needed. 1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair sprinkler and irrigation systems for lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas. 2. Perform seasonal sprinkler system maintenance, including spring start-ups and winterization. 3. Diagnose and resolve issues such as leaks, broken heads, pressure problems, and electrical faults. 4. Program and adjust smart controllers and timers for optimal water efficiency. 5. Replace and repair valves, solenoids, backflow preventers, pipes, and sprinkler heads. 6. Work with a variety of irrigation brands, including but not limited to: Rain Bird Hunter Toro Irritrol Weathermatic 7. Ensure compliance with local water conservation regulations and best practices. 8. Maintain detailed service records and reports on completed work. 9. Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently. 10. Provide excellent customer service by communicating system recommendations and solutions. 11. Assist with snow removal during winter months, including plowing, shoveling, de-icing, and maintaining safe conditions on properties as needed. Qualifications Requirements 1-3 years of experience as a Sprinkler Technician or in a related irrigation role. Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, troubleshooting techniques, and repair methods. Experience working with multiple sprinkler brands and system types. Familiarity with smart controllers and water-efficient irrigation practices. Ability to use hand tools, trenchers, and pipe-cutting equipment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for travel between job sites). Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently. Basic knowledge of electrical systems related to irrigation controllers is a plus. Irrigation certifications (e.g., CIT, CLIA) are a plus but not required.
