Job Description
Hansen Holsteins is a small, family‑owned dairy farm seeking a full‑time employee (18 years or older) who is self‑motivated, dependable, and hardworking. Responsibilities include daily farm chores such as milking, feeding, and caring for animals, as well as assisting with watering and harvesting field crops during the summer season. Applicants must be able to drive a tractor, operate a manual transmission, and have experience pulling a trailer. Work shifts include both mornings (4:30 a.m. until finished, typically 8:30-9:00 a.m.) and afternoons (1:30 p.m. until finished, typically around 6:00 p.m.). As summer work increases, occasional extra hours may be required. This position requires working every other weekend (both morning and afternoon chore shifts) and some holidays. We do our best to accommodate college or other scheduling needs when possible, as long as they align with the farm's requirements. Starting pay $14-$15 an hour. Pay will be based on your dependability, work abilities and skills. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Milking Cows Feeding calves/cows Cleaning pens Caring for animals Misc farm chores Tractor work Moving sprinkler pipes Working every other weekend and some holidays
