In this role, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and healthy landscapes. Your expertise will help create vibrant, sustainable outdoor environments that thrive under your careful management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills and horticultural knowledge in a fast-paced, energetic setting dedicated to excellence in landscape care. Duties Install new irrigation systems, including piping, sprinklers, valves, and controllers, ensuring proper coverage and efficiency Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing irrigation systems to prevent leaks, clogs, or malfunctions Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators when necessary Adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions, seasonal changes, and landscape needs to optimize water conservation Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape plans Perform soil moisture assessments and recommend adjustments for improved plant health and water efficiency Maintain detailed records of system installations, repairs, inspections, and adjustments for ongoing performance tracking Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working with irrigation components and systems Strong understanding of landscaping principles, lawn care practices, and horticulture fundamentals Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction equipment used in irrigation installation and repair Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including sprinkler system troubleshooting and seasonal adjustments Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints related to irrigation layouts Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system diagnostics and repairs Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate construction machinery when needed Preferred qualifications include experience in lawn care, landscaping projects, or horticulture environments. Certification in irrigation technology or related fields is a plus but not required. A passion for outdoor environments combined with mechanical aptitude will help you succeed in this energetic role.
