Job Description
Overview This position starts at $14/hr but will increase as the employee demonstrates skill mastery. Duties include cow care in the form of mixing feed, cleaning pens, and general cow care. We are open to training any aspect of this position. Responsibilities Assist with daily animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, cleaning, mending fence, including seasonal cropping duties. Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, skid loaders, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Conduct routine equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance skills to ensure smooth farm operations Supervise or collaborate with team members on tasks such as heavy lifting, equipment operation, and general farm upkeep Experience Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance is highly desirable Hands-on experience in animal husbandry, including caring for dairy cattle or other livestock is desirable Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely Familiarity with animal handling techniques Basic math skills for measurements, feed calculations, and record keeping are necessary • We value energetic team players who are eager to learn and grow.
