Responsibilities Cultivate crops using traditional and modern farming techniques, including irrigation management and greenhouse operations Care for livestock such as poultry, cattle, or small animals by feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health Operate and maintain farm machinery and heavy equipment such as tractors, forklifts, and power tools safely and efficiently Perform equipment repairs, welding, and routine maintenance to ensure all tools and machinery are in optimal condition Assist with animal husbandry tasks including handling animals safely and providing basic veterinary care when needed Implement pest control measures, soil management practices, and crop rotation strategies to maximize yield Supervise farm workers or volunteers when applicable, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently Qualifications Proven experience in farming or agriculture with hands-on growing experience in horticulture or greenhouse environments Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery repair and maintenance Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and animal handling techniques Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, power tools, and irrigation systems safely Strong understanding of farming principles including soil management, crop cultivation, irrigation systems, and greenhouses Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting schedules or feed rations Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring stamina over extended periods Supervising experience is a plus for overseeing team members or farm assistants This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about sustainable farming practices who thrive in a hands-on environment.
