Job Description

Farm Associate - Marshall, VA A private farm in Marshall, Virginia is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Farm Associate to join our team. This is a part-time position, four days per week, including Saturdays. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who loves working with animals and wants to gain real experience operating a working farm. You'll be an important part of daily farm life — keeping our animals healthy, our facilities clean, and our operation running smoothly. This farm operation includes an active agritourism component. This is an excellent resume building opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Daily animal care including feeding, watering, and providing fresh hay; mucking stalls, paddocks/fields, and other facilities; assisting with herd health procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and other routine treatments; maintaining a clean and organized barn; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States Some prior experience working with livestock and/or horses Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently Good communication skills and a calm, patient demeanor Reliable and committed to showing up as scheduled Genuine care for the well-being of animals Able to lift and carry for short distances up to 50 lbs. Pay:
