Job Description

Gardener/Horticultural Assistant Full-time position available Are you passionate about plants and eager to learn? We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Gardener to join our team at a beautiful private property in McLean, Virginia. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who loves being outdoors, wants to deepen their horticultural knowledge, and enjoys working alongside experienced gardeners in a supportive and fun environment. The role offers exposure to all aspects of gardening and landscape care, making it perfect for someone with strong plant interest, and willingness to learn, as much as prior experience. The position will include the following: Care for ornamental gardens, trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and seasonal plantings Assist with planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, watering, and general garden maintenance Monitor plant health and learn to identify pests, diseases, and nutrient issues Participate in seasonal projects and garden improvements Our main goals are the health of the plants, animals and the aesthetic beauty of the property.
As such we need:
Genuine enthusiasm for plants and gardening Strong work ethic and positive attitude Desire to learn and develop horticultural skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions An eye for detail and possibly an artistic leaning

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
