This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate weighing and documentation of recycled materials, contributing to our commitment to sustainability and efficient resource management. Responsibilities Weigh incoming company-owned and third-party trucks loaded with recycled materials, including single stream and Old Corrugated Cardboard (OCC)/Paper, and accurately record weights. Produce scale ticket documents to assess the type and mixture of recycled materials at the facility's tipping floor. Communicate weights and material grades to outside vendors according to their requirements. Coordinate with internal personnel via two-way radio to direct loads efficiently. Serve as a receptionist for visitors, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact. Establish a daily inventory of materials in containers at the start of each shift. Prepare export containers for overseas shipping, including ordering trailers and scheduling third-party trucks for port shipments. Collaborate with the S&R Supervisor and commodity marketing department for direct shipping of materials to the port. Ensure all shipments are loaded, photographed, and weights verified in compliance with U.S. shipping weight limitations. Qualifications Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in computer use and excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift or carry up to 20 lbs. Capability to remain in a sitting position for prolonged periods. Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
Offered compensation:
$18/hr - $22/hr
