Irrigation Technician

Irrigation Technician Affordable Lawn Sprinklers and Lighting -Vienna, VA Full-time, hourly Bonus and commission potential Candidates with Virginia State Backflow certifications are strongly encouraged to apply and will be prioritized for the upper end of the pay range. Position Overview The Irrigation Technician is responsible for conducting maintenance, annual services, and repair activities on existing sprinkler and landscape lighting systems. The Irrigation Technician will provide services, identify issues or problems, communicate with customers regarding issues, develop estimates for any needed repairs, facilitate billing, and act as the representative of Affordable Lawn Sprinklers with each customer visited. The Irrigation Technician also serves as the main contact and team leader on service calls that involve more than one technician.

401(k) with company match (if applicable) Paid Time Off, Referral Bonus Key Responsibilities of the Irrigation Technician Irrigation System Installation & Service Service, install, modify, and upgrade lawn sprinkler systems and low voltage lighting systems. Perform assessment, diagnosing, and repairing of leaks, heads, valves, controllers, and system wiring Install timers/controllers and rain sensors Identify repairs and enhancements to lawn sprinkler systems. Customer Service & Communication Provide outstanding customer service by explaining irrigation system maintenance and service expectations Work with customers to ensure systems are operating efficiently Clearly communicate irrigation issues and solutions to customers Utilize company software to record services and system information, create estimates and invoices, and communicate with customers. Required Valid driver's license with a clean record Knowledge of irrigation systems, plumbing, and electrical components Strong attention to detail Ability to meet physical requirements, to include heavy lifting and extensive activity Effective communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus but not required) Join us to be part of one of Northern Virginia's premier irrigation and lighting companies and to work with the top irrigation talent in the area.
