Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team for a Temporary Summer Field Maintenance position. This is a full-time, seasonal role requiring 40 hours per week (typically Monday through Thursday). Starting as soon as possible and going through August. The primary responsibilities for this role include extensive mowing and groundskeeping of large turf areas using commercial riding and zero-turn mowers. The ideal candidate will also safely operate utility tractors and various attachments to handle field grading and clearing. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing water systems, which includes inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing hands-on irrigation repairs on lines, valves, and sprinkler heads, as well as performing routine daily maintenance checks on all equipment. To qualify, candidates must have proven experience safely operating tractors and commercial mowing equipment, a solid technical understanding of irrigation mechanics, and the physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs while working outdoors in variable summer weather. Please note that a practical, hands-on demonstration of tractor operation and irrigation troubleshooting skills will be required as part of the interview process.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
As outlined by the Policies and Procedures of Kettle Falls School District. Kettle Falls policies and Procedures can be accessed online at https://www.kfschools.org/domain/193. The Salary Range for this temporary position is Min $23.49- Max $23.49 per hour. Substitutes will accrue 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Substitutes who work 630 hours will become benefit eligible for the remainder of the school year.
