Shift Support Services Inedible/Recycle Dock Worker HOURS:
9:30p.m. - 5:30a.m. (Hours will vary)
WAGE:
$23.61 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
Operate equipment on inedible dock to properly dispose of waste materials. Will be cross-trained on both inedible docks.
JOB DUTIES
Operate baler to bale cardboard. Finished bales are transported to trailer. Operate compactor and keep surrounding area clean. Properly denature product on dock. Keep hallways neat and clear of pallets. Keep pallet storage room clean and organized. Store full inedible totes on trailer. Ensure heating /cooling units are working properly. Fill, cover and move crumb totes to trailer. Notify supervisor when meat, breading, compactor or skid trailer is ready for pick up. Foam dirty barrels and then place on washer rinse or using high pressure hose. Clean and foam wash room and dock area and overheads as needed. Will handle various chemicals and operate sanitation equipment. Job requires frequent lifting, bending and twisting, throughout work shift. Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Unpleasant odors, damp and wet work area, high noise level, slippery floors, potential for cuts from barrels with sharp edges, some outside work required and temperature extremes are present.
QUALIFICATIONS
Self-motivated, quality minded, reliable individual, who can work with little supervision. Must meet the physical abilities evaluation requirements for this position. Must successfully complete all required training including power jack and forklift training courses. Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 8 hours per day. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
