Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our cultivation team as a Cultivation Technician. Reporting to the Cultivation Lead, the Cultivation Tech role will play a vital supporting role in the cultivation operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily tasks and contributing to the overall success of our cultivation program. This position presents an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in horticulture and a desire to learn and grow within the cannabis industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly in cannabis cultivation, supporting the growth, care, and maintenance of cannabis plants. You'll gain valuable experience in assisting with tasks such as planting, feeding, pest management, and environmental monitoring, ensuring the health and vitality of our crops. By contributing to the consistency and quality of our plants, you play a key role in the success of our final products. Major Areas Of Responsibility Include Harvesting plants, up-pot and label of plants. Recording information about plant growth and nutrient usages. IPM monitoring and sprays. Fill grow tanks and mix nutrients. Inspect plants and bud sites. Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standard operating practices. Pruning plants in the vegetative stage and creating clones from mothers. Washing pots/trays/lights, etc. returning them to the appropriate area. Harvesting and trimming flowering plants. Reporting harvest data, waste, and IPM applications through the state mandated track and trace system (METRC). All other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES): Working knowledge of the medical cannabis industry. Working knowledge of general plant physiology and biology, cannabis specific knowledge is a plus. Must be 21 years of age Ability to work in hot and humid conditions on concrete for long periods of time, standing, walking around, and performing manual labor associated with plant care. Knowledgeable on regulations related to the Medical Use of Marijuana Program. Strong interpersonal skills including listening and communication. Ability to take direction, comprehend, and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships to gain support and achieve results both internally and externally. Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solving.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Able to stand for 90% of the time. Comfortable with heights, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights, filters, trellis netting and ceiling fans up to 25ft. Comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required. Comfortable with changing environment temperatures and humidity. Exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and other nature elements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
BACKGROUND CHECK & REGULATORY ELIGIBILITY
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks and the ability to obtain and maintain an active West Virginia Office of Medical Cannabis (OMC) Employee Identification Card, in accordance with applicable law and regulation.
