Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a Noxious Weed Technician and become a vital defender of our natural landscapes! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for identifying, controlling, and eradicating invasive weed species that threaten local ecosystems, agricultural productivity, and recreational areas. Your proactive efforts will help preserve the health and beauty of our environment while promoting sustainable land management practices. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize specialized tools, and make a tangible impact on land conservation initiatives. Duties Conduct field inspections to identify noxious and invasive weed species across designated areas Apply herbicides and other control methods using hand tools, power tools, or farm machinery with precision and safety Utilize land management equipment such as sprayers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools to remove or suppress weed growth Assist with the maintenance of equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working order for daily use Drive company vehicles to various sites safely while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols Record detailed observations and treatment activities in logs and reports for tracking progress and compliance Collaborate with landowners, farmers, or land managers to implement weed control strategies effectively Requirements Experience or background in sales, pest control, lawn care, farming, landscaping, agriculture or related outdoor work is preferred but not mandatory Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and other land management equipment safely and efficiently Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving trucks or utility vehicles is a plus Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including walking long distances and lifting moderate loads Knowledge of local invasive weed species and control techniques is advantageous but training will be provided Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures meticulously Willingness to learn new skills related to land management and environmental conservation This dynamic role offers a chance to develop expertise in environmental stewardship while working outdoors in a fast-paced setting. Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
