Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Full-Time General Laborer to support daily operations in our Nursery Department. This role involves hands-on work with plants, outdoor merchandise, and customer support in a fast-paced, outdoor retail environment. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and being part of a team that helps customers create beautiful gardens and landscapes. Responsibilities Assist with receiving, unloading and moving nursery stock, soil, mulch and other materials Water, care for and maintain the appearance and health of plants Load plants and materials into customer vehicles safely and efficiently Keep nursery areas clean, organized and well stocked Set up, maintain and rotate plant displays and seasonal merchandise Support customers by directing them to products or staff as needed Operate basic tools and equipment such as hand trucks, carts and hoses Follow all safety procedures and company policies Skills Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather Dependable, punctual and able to work a full-time seasonal schedule Ability to follow directions and work well independently or as part of a team Previous nursery, landscaping or garden center experience is a plus, but not required Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently in outdoor settings Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting layouts or chemical mixing Have great customer service skills and maintain customer confidence This role is perfect for individuals passionate about agriculture, landscaping, or gardening who thrive working outdoors.
