Job Description

BEVERAGE MANAGER
High Dive — HiFi Lounge | Lakeview District, Downtown Birmingham, AL Full-Time • Benefits • On-Site
ABOUT HIGH DIVE
High Dive is a listening lounge in downtown Birmingham — a coffee house by day and a cocktail lounge by night, built around a world-class HiFi sound system in an acoustically engineered space. We pour classics done well, in a setting that's welcoming and down-to-earth, never fussy. We're looking for a Beverage Manager to lead the bar program across both the lounge and our adjacent music park. This is a role for someone who takes the craft seriously without taking themselves too seriously — someone who can build inspiring, seasonally driven menus, develop a great team, and keep a high-volume show running smoothly.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Curate seasonal menus across every category — Build seasonally curated cocktail, non-alcoholic, beer, and wine menus for both the music park and the lounge, owning cost and menu pricing from concept through execution. Shape a liquor selection with a point of view — Curate a back bar that's interesting and inspiring for our guests, with a heavy focus on agave spirits and whisk(e)ys. We want a selection that rewards the curious and sparks conversation. Develop and lead the team — Build, train, and lead a team committed to maintaining high-level service standards: warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely hospitable . Run high-volume events and shows — Lead and execute high-volume events and live shows across the lounge and music park while managing costs and keeping service sharp under pressure.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Proven experience managing a bar or beverage program, ideally in a high-volume or events-driven setting Deep knowledge of spirits, with real enthusiasm for agave spirits and whisk(e)ys Menu development experience with a firm grasp of costing, pricing, and margin A track record of building and leading teams that deliver consistent, high-level service Comfort balancing creativity with the operational discipline of cost and inventory management A down-to-earth, collaborative approach — and a love of music is a serious plus
HOW TO APPLY
If you want to shape the beverage program at one of Birmingham's most distinctive new spaces for music, food, and community, we'd love to hear from you. Apply with your resume and a short note on your approach to building a bar program. High Dive • Music > Coffee > Cocktails >
