Harvest Forman

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Harvest Forman to lead and coordinate our harvesting operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the daily activities of the harvest team, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality collection of crops. Pay is salary based contingent on experience-Inquire within. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate harvest activities Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures during harvest operations Monitor crop maturity and quality to determine optimal harvest timing Operate and maintain various tools and equipment such as balers, swathers, rakes, hand tools, and mechanical devices Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Support training of team members on horticultural practices, equipment use, and safety procedures Requirements Proven experience as a Harvest Forman Knowledge of farming techniques, Big Bale and Small Bail experience, cutting, raking, and bailing Bermuda, Alfalfa, and Klein grass Mechanical knowledge related to farm equipment and hand tools operation Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in supervising tasks and maintaining records Prior leadership or supervisory experience in agriculture settings
