Job Description
Hill View Packing Co., Inc. is a family-owned company seeking a motivated and hands-on Farm Manager to join our team at our Los Banos location . Position Summary The Farm Manager will be overseeing and managing day-to-day operations across multiple agricultural areas, including orchards, field crops, and related facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a leadership role within a dynamic farming operation. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain prune orchards, apricot orchards, and hay fields Research and evaluate additional crops suitable for the Los Banos farm Purchase, maintain, and repair farming and irrigation equipment Oversee receiving and grading of dried prunes Coordinate and work with government agencies on water and irrigation matters Manage operations of a 320-acre duck club Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and safety standards Licensing Requirements Must have or be willing to obtain: Applicator's license for spraying orchards and fields Fumigation license Organic Pesticide license Forklift certification Certified Welder Qualifications College degree in Agriculture or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Previous agricultural work experience required Basic computer literacy. (Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel) Experience repairing and maintaining farm machinery Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Willingness to learn and grow within the company
