Assistant Hatchery Manager

Assist in managing all operations within the facility, including, but not limited to: management of persons, eggs and equipment. Assist in managing and coordinating hatchery activities (i.e. egg pickup and delivery, care of eggs, incubation and hatching, grading, vaccination, preparation and shipment of chicks). Ensure adherence to Company, Safety, and Animal Welfare policies and procedures. Assist in management of animal welfare program. Assist in managing daily deliveries, and ensuring adherence to DOT requirements and safety procedures. All other relevant duties to the job.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Poultry, Animal Science or other closely related field. 4+ years hatchery management or leadership experience. Proficient knowledge of technology and computers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
