Job Description

Position Summary A high-growth agricultural retail platform is seeking a Crop Protection Advisor to drive profitable growth by delivering simple, competitively priced crop input solutions to farmers in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. This is a high-activity, results-driven role designed for someone who thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment focused on price, efficiency, and volume. This opportunity is ideal for a self-starter who wants to build a book of business, take market share, and make a direct impact in a growing organization.

help self-sufficient farmers reduce cost per acre through transparency, competitive pricing, and execution excellence. Success in this role comes from consistent prospecting, winning new customers, and executing daily with discipline and urgency. Key Responsibilities Drive new business through consistent prospecting and effective territory management Build and manage a strong pipeline of growers, focusing on converting competitive and grain-only accounts Execute a high-volume sales model with speed, clarity, and strong follow-through Position the company as a simple, cost-effective alternative for crop protection and input purchases Maintain strong knowledge of crop protection products, adjuvants, and fertility programs Collaborate with procurement and leadership on pricing, availability, and margin discipline Utilize digital tools and e-commerce platforms to streamline the customer experience Track sales activity, opportunities, and follow-ups consistently in CRM tools Deliver on volume, revenue, and margin targets What Success Looks Like Consistent pipeline growth and conversion of new customers Ability to take market share from traditional retailers and competitors Strong activity metrics (calls, meetings, and closed business) Measurable growth in territory volume and customer count Execution of a low-cost, high-efficiency sales model Qualifications 2+ years of agriculture sales experience (crop inputs preferred) Knowledge of crop protection, fertility, and on-farm application practices Proven ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close new business Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-starter with a strong work ethic and accountability mindset Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Ability to work independently with minimal structure Agronomy or crop input knowledge preferred Core Competencies Prospecting discipline and pipeline management Competitive mindset and drive to win Ownership and accountability for results Ability to simplify value and communicate clearly to growers Strong agricultural knowledge and business acumen Effective time and territory management Why This Opportunity This organization is built to serve self-sufficient farmers who want a more transparent, cost-effective way to purchase inputs.
