reviews From $65,000 a year - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Breeder Flock Manager to guide our operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple flocks, ensuring the health, genetics, and overall well-being of the animals in your care. Responsibilities Help maintain policies and ensure that all Animal Welfare, SOP, and Safety protocols are being followed. In collaboration with company nutritionists, determine proper feed rations to use at various ages and production period of the flocks, and order feed from the mill weekly. Regularly monitor and enter lay flock egg production, fertility, feed consumption and other parameters into internal database as needed. Make regular visits to each breeder location. Routinely inspect chicken houses to ensure all SOP's are being followed. Train/Follow up on bio-security education and risk assessment with producers. Assist with vaccinations and other flock service tasks and monitor crew to ensure Animal Welfare practices are being followed. Maintain detailed records, health histories, and data for the life of the flock. Qualifications Required to follow bio-security, animal care and welfare policies, and SOP's. Comply with OSHA regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for record keeping and data analysis Ability to learn and utilize the internal database and internal company programs. Physical ability to bend, stoop, and lift 50 lbs. Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and via email. Must have good organizational skills. Willingness to learn and continue education in job related fields.
