Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail Manager to lead our Farm & Ranch Store. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store operations, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales growth. Your leadership will ensure the store runs smoothly, inventory is well-maintained, and customers receive expert assistance in all aspects of farm and ranch supplies. We are seeking candidates with a vision for trends, marketing background is a plus. This candidate must be well-versed in Gardening/Ag supplies. Responsibilities Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to foster a motivated team. Oversee inventory management, including stock purchasing, merchandising, stocking, and inventory control to meet customer demand efficiently. Manage daily store operations such as cash handling, cashiering, POS system oversight, and shift management to ensure seamless service delivery. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase retail sales and promote store products through effective marketing and merchandising initiatives. Maintain accurate bookkeeping and payroll records while managing budgets to optimize store profitability. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues with professionalism. Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and operational procedures while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail or agriculture environments with a focus on farm or ranch supplies preferred. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing daily store operations. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and retail math. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, marketing, and merchandising. Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, recruiting, and scheduling shifts effectively. Organizational skills coupled with time management expertise to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Knowledge of retail sales techniques including sales management and customer engagement strategies.
