Staff Join South Carolina State University's 1890 Research and Extension team as a Temporary Grant-P14 Agricultural Assistant II/Assistant Farm Manager. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful agricultural research and extension work at a historically black university with a strong commitment to advancing agricultural sciences and supporting rural communities. What You'll Do Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing agricultural research projects and extension programs Support daily farm operations including crop production, livestock management, and equipment maintenance Collect and analyze research data while maintaining accurate records and documentation Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students on various agricultural initiatives Participate in community outreach activities and extension programming Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Agricultural Sciences, or related field preferred Experience in farm operations, crop production, or agricultural research Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse audiences Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Why Choose South Carolina State University As part of our 1890 Research and Extension program, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals committed to advancing agricultural knowledge and supporting underserved communities.
