Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Farm Manager to join our team in North Western Wisconsin. You'll be overseeing daily farm operations, ensuring efficient management of livestock, machinery and equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a unique facility with diversified stock of about 400 head. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and experienced in both farming and cattle/horse operations.
Duties:
Execute daily farm operations (feed hay, check stock, check water cups) Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, behavior changes, or calving Assist with calving, doctoring, vaccinations, and herd health protocols for cattle, horses and ponies Build, repair, and maintain fencing Operate, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, skid steers, power tools, and heavy machinery Cut, rake and bale hay Occasionally haul animals to auctions
Qualifications:
Must have license and clean driving record Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Willingness to work long hours during peak seasons Mechanically inclined with basic equipment repair skills Self-motivated, dependable, able to work independently and in a team Experience in farming/cattle/horse operations are preferred but not a must.
