Raw Goods Manager Role The Raw Goods Manager is a critical operational role at HPI Canna, responsible for the integrity, compliance, and physical management of all raw cannabis inventory within the Vault. This position serves as the connective tissue between inbound cannabis purchasing, internal production kitting, and outbound wholesale transactions — ensuring that every gram of material moving through HPI is properly handled, accurately tracked, and compliantly documented. The Raw Goods Manager leads a team of Vault Associates and works in close coordination with the Manufacturing and Traceability departments to support seamless daily operations. The ideal candidate brings deep cannabis expertise, a structured compliance mindset, and the hands-on product knowledge to assess and grade flower at a high level — someone equally comfortable in METRC and in a sea of jarred cultivars. This position reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with the HPI Traceability Manager.

Responsibilities:

Proper maintenance and quality assurance of all physical cannabis inventory at HPI Canna Ensure and uphold proper handling, processing, and storage processes and standards Ensure accurate inventory management Physically prepare all cannabis materials for forthcoming production via HPI's allocation and kitting systems Collaborate with Allocations department to physically prepare cannabis inputs for transfer to Manufacturing Collaborate with Traceability Manager to ensure digital recordkeeping for all WO Kits is accurate and timely Manage all inbound and outbound internal transfers of cannabis, primarily to and from the Manufacturing department Manage Vault team on cannabis processing and rendering activities required to prepare material for production, primarily via Hydration and Microbial Remediation Management of all Inbound cannabis purchases with attention to OCM compliance and HPI policy Verify all contents and weights of shipments and collaborate with Traceability Manager on manifest acceptance Aid in assigning product grades to all inbound packages Ensure proper package labeling is complete Preparation and Facilitation of all wholesale cannabis transactions Physical management of active wholesale menu and package availability Shipment packing and preparation Digital hygiene and METRC adherence of all cannabis inventory Oversee regular inventory cycle counts Work in tandem with HPI Traceability Manager to ensure compliance with METRC regulation and best practices Manage and Oversee Department of Vault Associates Provide general management and leadership for associates working in Vault Department Develop and improve existing processes and workflows. Assist in other miscellaneous tasks pertaining to Vault and cannabis management as needed Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in the licensed cannabis industry, with demonstrated experience in inventory management, vault operations, or cannabis processing Proficiency in METRC, package adjustments, inventory reconciliation, and compliance best practices in a regulated state market. Experience with cannabis ERP or seed-to-sale platforms; proficiency in Distru or equivalent systems preferred Strong working knowledge of cannabis quality assessment, including the ability to evaluate and grade flower based on nose, structure, trichome density, trim quality, and overall bag appeal Genuine passion for cannabis as a product — a deep familiarity with cultivar genetics, terpene profiles, and evolving market standards is strongly preferred Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop a small team in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment Familiarity with cannabis processing and remediation workflows, including hydration and microbial remediation techniques Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to inventory accuracy and digital hygiene Effective cross-departmental communicator with the ability to collaborate across Manufacturing, Traceability, and business development functions Physical ability to lift and handle cannabis materials and packaging in a vault/warehouse environment
