ASSISTANT COMPANY MANAGER

•Theatre by the Sea, Matunuck RI•April-September 2026 The Historic Theatre by the Sea in Matunuck RI, is seeking an experienced Company Manager for its uing 93rd summer season!!! Come be a part of it! Employment from June 1 to Sept 20, with the season running from May 11 through Sept 13. You should be prepared to work long and sometimes odd hours. Candidates should know that as a key part of thepany you, along with thepany manager, must set a key example and be a rock in the stream for others. A key requirement is a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record, and the ability to drive a 12-15 passenger van. The Management team needs to drive actors to and from all rehearsals and performances, with scheduled grocery and laundry runs weekly. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the coordination of travel and housing for actors and guest artists. The Assistant Company Manager along with the Company Manager and intern will help in maintaining /cleaning thepany housing. Company Management is responsible for getting housing ready for the season and for changing over rooms from one show to the next, including laundry. The Company Management team also provides crew meals during tech week, as well as arranging hospitality for up to 60 people. Additionally, you will assist the Company Manager with needs for the Children's Series and Monday Night Concert series as required, regarding hospitality, travel and housing. You will listen and work together as a team with the Company Manager and work closely with the Company Management Intern in every aspect of the job. Excellentputer skills required as well. You will oversee and keep track and turn in all receipts and petty cash weekly, assist in the preparation of workman'sp forms and accident reports, along with taking people to doctor's appointments or to the hospital if needed. Assistant Company Manager will also work with and report to the Producer, Artistic Director, Associate Producer, General Manager, Production Manager and Stage Management and Company Manager.
