Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Part Time Fish Care Technician and immerse yourself in the rewarding world of aquatic life! In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the health and well-being of our diverse fish species. Your enthusiasm for marine life, combined with attention to detail and a proactive attitude, will help create a thriving environment for our fish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in Aquaculture and Fish care. Duties Regularly monitor and assess the health and behavior of fish ensuring optimal living conditions Perform routine cleaning of tanks, filters, and equipment to maintain cleanliness and water quality standards Perform feeding schedules, ensuring each species receives appropriate nutrition at designated times Record daily observations, water parameters, and any unusual activity or health concerns in detailed logs Follow established protocols for disease prevention to safeguard all aquatic life Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement preventative maintenance Experience Previous experience working with aquatic animals or in a similar animal care environment is preferred but not required Strong interest in marine biology, ecology, or related fields is highly valued Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety guidelines consistently Excellent communication skills for documenting observations clearly and accurately Willingness to learn about water chemistry, filtration systems, and species-specific care requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, perform physical tasks such as lifting tanks or supplies, and work in a dynamic environment This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain practical experience in aquatic animal care.
