Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and attention to detail in line with restaurant standards. Skillfully shuck oysters and other shellfish, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Assist in menu planning by suggesting fresh ingredients and innovative presentation ideas. Maintain food safety protocols by handling ingredients properly and ensuring proper storage. Support the kitchen team during busy hours by managing multiple tasks such as food prep, plating, and garnishing. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards before serving. Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized throughout shifts to uphold hygiene standards. Experience Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or fine dining environment is highly preferred. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques are essential. Experience with food preparation, cooking methods, and meal assembly is required. Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles adds valuable insight into food safety practices. Knowledge of catering services and serving etiquette enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Familiarity with menu planning, food industry standards, and culinary techniques will support your success in this role.
