Individual Placement- Fisheries Technician at Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery

Position Summary Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery provides management and production of trout for mitigation of Colorado River Storage Project waters of the Upper Colorado River System and to meet Tribal trust responsibilities on Native American land. Intern responsibilities include assisting with fish culture, maintenance and outreach. Fish culture includes feeding fish, cleaning raceways, stocking, disinfecting/incubating/ hatching eggs, etc. Maintenance includes everything from grounds care such as mowing lawns to painting to help with maintaining buildings, vehicles, tools and equipment. Outreach includes answering visitor questions, hosting school visits, providing tours and helping to develop visitor center services. Location Vernal, UT Schedule June 15, 2026

All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger. Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States. Hours served can be applied toward the Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring authority. Preferred Qualifications Love the outdoors Comfortable living in remote location

• 40 minutes to town. Hours 40 per week Living Accommodations Jones Hole has 2 furnished houses, a double wide and single wide trailer available. Internet is provided. Compensation Living Allowance
• $500/week Travel Allowance
