POSITION DESCRIPTION

Entry level shellfish

FLUPSY WASHDOWN.

The position will support the raising of clam and oyster seed in our Oakland Bay area FLUPSY. Pressure washing of bottom screen on bins as well as washing bins that are screened daily. No previous experience in aquaculture required. Seasonal position that can lead to permanent position. Position may require working weekends. Must be comfortable lifting heavy amounts on uneven ground. Appropriate protective clothing required for all weather conditions.

Ability to work independently, at times with little direction Must possess a strong work ethic and reliable transportation Strong and sound decision making skills Must maintain positive company morale Regular, reliable, predictable attendance May be required to work at other work sites/locations as needed. May be required to do other tasks as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand and/or walk on uneven ground The employee may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors and managers Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Ability to operate and maintain pressure washer for washing of bins and paddle wheels
