Job Description

Fish Ticket Administrator - Kenai Alaska This is a part / full time position depending on the salmon run, where the person will work Fish Openings at the Kasilof Dock writing Fish Tickets. Creating a Fish Ticket is a very important job and takes strong attention to detail and accuracy. The openings are in the evenings, 2-5 days a week depending on the salmon run. The Evening can be anywhere from 4-8 hour shifts. Working as late as 1:00 - 2:00am. Upon arrival to the Kenai Dock on opening night, you will be responsible to review emails and become familiar with the specifics of the fish opening, including Stat Area, and date of opening. As the fishermen come to the office you will receive their tally from the dock crew, and permit card from the Fisherman, and create a Fish Ticket. You will follow the detailed instructions and ensure there are no errors, and all fishermen sign off on their fish ticket. You will be responsible for reviewing the fish tickets at the end of the night and packaging them in an envelope to go with a driver to the head office.
Qualifications required:
1. Proficient in Excel and all MS Office apps. 2. Extraordinary attention to detail. 3. Extraordinary Organization skills. 4. Strong Computer and Data Entry skills. The ideal candidate will have the additional skills: 1. Fish Ticket Knowledge & Experience 2. Knowledge & Experience of ELandings 3. Knowledge of Salmon Buying in the Kenai Peninsula. 4. Bookkeeping or Accounting Experience The Fish Ticket administrator will report to the Dock Manager.
